Join Cahoon Care at the 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s
At Cahoon Care, we specialize in providing quality care to seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Our caregivers receive specialized training, and between our experience and our customized care plans, we can ensure that each senior with Alzheimer’s receives home care services tailored to their individual and evolving needs.
We’ve seen how Alzheimer’s affects seniors and their families, and we’re devoted to helping researchers to find a cure to end this disease.
That’s why we want you to join us at the 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
About the Walk to End Alzheimer’s
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is run by the Alzheimer’s Association. Each year, this annual walk is held in more than 600 communities across the nation. The walk helps to raise awareness as well as funding to support Alzheimer’s care and research.
It’s free to register to participate in the walk, and by fundraising, participants help to raise money for this worthwhile cause. Then, on the day of the walk, you’ll have the chance to meet the other participants who have all worked for the same goal: To support Alzheimer’s services and to find a cure to this disease.
Join Cahoon Care in the Fight Against Alzheimer’s
For the past 3 years, Cahoon Care has participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, but this year the walk has additional meaning for us. We’ll be walking in remembrance of Elizabeth (Betty) C. Parker who passed away from Alzheimer’s disease this year. She was a beloved member of the Cahoon Care family.
We’d also like you to join us this year, too.
There are a few different ways to participate: You can join our team here, and can help to fundraise and contribute to our team’s goal of raising $5,000 by the day of the walk. Then, join us in Plymouth, Massachusetts on September 15th. Registration begins at 8:30, with a ceremony to follow at 9:30 and the walk to kick off at 10. The walk will take place at Nelson Memorial Park on Nelson Street in Plymouth.
Can’t join us in person? You can still contribute to this important cause by making a donation through our page here. You can make a donation of any amount, and donating takes just a minute.
About Alzheimer’s
Alzheimer’s is currently the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, and 1 in 3 seniors will die with Alzheimer’s or dementia. More than 5 million Americans currently live with this disease, and at the moment we cannot prevent, slow, or cure the disease.
Please donate to the 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s and, if you’re able, we’d love to have you join our team and walk with us on September 15th.
